Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the company’s warehouse's daily operations, including inventory management. This position will be responsible for delegating workloads to the warehouse leads to ensure production remains efficient throughout the day and handling reporting for operational needs at all levels.
Responsibilities
· Oversees the daily operations of the warehouse
· Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures and workflows
· Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
· Define and implement warehouse metrics to improve overall production effectiveness in all areas.
· Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
· Inspect the levels of business supplies and inventory to identify shortages.
· Validates quantities within the facility with overseeing cycle counts.
· Analyze cost loss from cycle counts and operational movement.
· Mentor and develop staff creating a solid succession plan for the warehouse positions.
· Identify and address over shipments.
· Maintains efficient and effective storage and distribution of goods
· Handles non-moving processes and storage.
· Coordinate with sales and customer service on counts to communicate to the customer.
· Forecast future dated workloads and quality needs.
· Analyzes performance cycles of the warehouse to maintain productivity throughout operations.
· Handles pick pack, shipping, and receiving functional roles.
· Oversees new and aging bins for put away.
· Creates and redefines new and current reporting on all warehouse activities and staffing.
Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (strongly preferred).5+ years’ direct experience as a warehouse manager or similar position
Knowledge:
•\tSkillset in aerospace, defense, or regulated industry (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) with familiarity in handling traceable, critical, or high-cost inventory.
•\tERP system proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Epicor).
•\tWMS (Warehouse Management System) knowledge and barcode scanning systems.
•\tProven experience with cycle counting, inventory control, and receiving/shipping operations.
•\tKnowledge of the logistical routing fasteners, kits, or hardware to suppliers or customer orders.
•\tManaging team performance, KPIs, and daily workflow in a high-volume setting.
•\tResponding to DCMA, customer audits, or internal compliance inspections.
•\tSolid understanding of FIFO, lot control, shelf-life, and certification handling in aerospace.
•\tExcellent knowledge of data analysis and various forecasting methods
•\tStrong working knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on intermediate excel knowledge
•\tDemonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen events, root cause analysis).
•\tAbility to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and implement new procedures with measurable results.
•\tTrack record of:
o\tReducing order errors or delays.
o\tIncreasing pick/pack/ship accuracy and speed.
o\tStreamlining receiving or put-away processes.
Lean Six Sigma certification or similar continuous improvement training (preferred).
Job Type & LocationThis is Located in Chatsworth, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr.
