Job DescriptionBased on-site in support of the customer (Waymo), the Inventory Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives, implementing inventory controls and risk management, optimizing warehouse throughput, data analysis and reporting, and providing training and documentation as needed, in order to support and manage the lifecycle of materials and distribution, from receipt to final disposition at the Milpitas, CA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with warehouse operations teams and other on-site department teams to establish best practices and corrective actions for inventory process managementEnsure that corrective actions and SLA’s are carried out in a timely manner, and track the success of those initiatives to continuously improve inventory accuracyManage key metrics including Inventory Accuracy, Aging, Inbound/ Outbound throughputPromote a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization, and innovationPrepare, analyze and present detailed reports on findings, including discrepancies, recommendations for improvement, and root cause analysisGenerate actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies, address inefficiencies, improve overall inventory management and customer experienceServe as a key/first point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding related Waymo inventory issues, findings, and improvement opportunitiesManage the end-of-life process for damaged or obsolete goods, ensuring all scrap is physically segregated and financially transacted correctlyMonitor and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Drive action plans for disposition to free up warehouse spaceProvide training and guidance to staff as needed on procedures and the importance of accurate reportingOther duties and special projects as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree with a specialization in Supply Chain, related field or equivalent experience5+ years logistics, supply chain, large scale warehouse operations or related experience 3+ Inventory management - Specialist 3+ years demonstrated experience planning, organizing, tracking and controlling tasks to achieve goals3+ years of stakeholder management and facilitation1+ specific customer experience within customer systems and knowledge of their SOP/SWI operationsExperience driving process improvements, and implementing corrective actionsKnowledge of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, and dashboard reporting is preferredExperience and knowledge of inventory management software, SAP/WMS systems (specifically MM and WM/EWM modules).
