Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Warehouse Driver to transport heating, air conditioning, and solar products to our customers and satellite company branches. When not driving, you will engage in various warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, customer assistance, and general warehouse tasks.
ResponsibilitiesDrive a 26’ bobtail truck to designated destinations to deliver products and maneuver the truck into loading or unloading positions.Load and unload products using a forklift or liftgate while adhering to Driver Safety Rules at all times.Check related documentation to ensure product accuracy and verify customer delivery address to create an efficient route.Obtain signatures for delivered products and collect payments if required.Conduct and maintain daily vehicle inspection reports.Report any accidents and damage to company vehicles, products, or customer property immediately.Perform warehouse duties including loading and unloading products and assisting customers with order pickup.Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as Federal, State, and Local regulations for safe commercial motor vehicle operations.Ensure all C.O.D. and credit card sales orders are paid for before unloading the order.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMust satisfactorily pass a pre-employment substance and physical abilities test.Proficiency in relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to ensure safe product delivery.Possess a valid Schedule C driver's license with knowledge of motor vehicle driver and safety laws.Ability to identify potential safety risks.Basic computer knowledge.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Proficiency in the English language.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.Proficiency in basic office equipment including Internet and email, copy and fax machines.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract position based out of Concord, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
