JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title: Warehouse Clerk Division: Townsend Tree Service Function: ASC- Supply Chain and Logistics Reports To: Manager Discipline: ASC040- Warehousing Pay Type: Hourly Career Band: (W)- Production/Manual Labor Job Type: Non Exempt EEO Group: Laborer and Helpers Effective: 11/12/2025     Position Summary The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This position ensures that inventory levels are accurately maintained and that all warehouse operations are carried out efficiently and safely.   Key Responsibilities Essential Functions   Receiving and Inspection Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists. Inspect goods for damage, quality, and accuracy. Record all received materials accurately in the inventory system. Report and document any discrepancies or damaged items. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts. Organize and label products for easy retrieval. Update inventory management software with real-time data. Identify and report inventory shortages or overages.   Equipment Operation and Maintenance Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely. Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment. Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.    Safety and Compliance Follow all warehouse safety protocols and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Use proper lifting techniques and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety training and audits.   Communication and Teamwork Collaborate with coworkers, drivers, and supervisors to coordinate daily operations. Communicate inventory or shipment issues clearly and promptly. Support other warehouse functions as needed to meet operational goals.   Duties may or may not be subject to change   Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent   Skills and Competencies One (1) year of warehouse experience Excellent communication and people skills Meet all physical requirements of the position. Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations. 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required. Legally authorized to work in the United States.   Preferred          Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems          Forklift Certification   This role is based in an office environment with occasional remote work flexibility.
