As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the finishing and final inspection of parts, along with their preparation for shipping. You will need to follow work instructions diligently to ensure product accuracy and quality.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy.Perform slag removal using an air gun and mallet.Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips.Dip parts into rust remover and oil them prior to packaging.Conduct final inspection of parts and ensure their quality before shipment.Band work pieces and prepare them for shipping.Build pallets and package boxes for shipment.Ensure accuracy of products and print and label boxes/containers.Read blueprints to verify product completion accuracy.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in inventory, picking, and packing.Visual quality inspection of parts.Final preparation and cleaning of products before shipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsShipping experience.Experience with larger products.Why Work Here?Join a company recently acquired by Caterpillar, offering long-term opportunities for employees. Work EnvironmentThe facility is older and split into two separate buildings, housing larger areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems. It is a loud, dirty, and hot environment during warm months, and cold during winter. You will work in specific departments with a supervisor and a set team. Steel-toed shoes are required. The company is planning to expand rapidly, adding three total shifts, and is working to upgrade the facility.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.40 - $17.40/hr.
