**Job Title: Warehouse Associate**
**Job Description**
As a Warehouse Associate, you will manage products by skid, crate, or box for shipping and process routine and standard shipping paperwork. You will maintain a clean and safe working environment through the proper and timely disposition and storage of materials. Supporting assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials is a key aspect of this role. You will safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures. Additionally, you will work with SAP to update storage bin information and identify and locate materials, as well as complete routine inspections of material handling equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a turret truck forklift to pick orders and ensure you are comfortable with heights.
+ Use a sit-down forklift to move picked orders from racks to shipping.
+ Spend approximately 10-20% of your shift on the forklift after training and certification.
+ Transport scrap bins to the unloading area and transfer materials into the dumpster.
+ Unload and load trucks via forklift each day, managing 3-4 trucks for incoming and 2 trucks for outgoing shipments.
+ Visually inspect parts and move them to receiving parts staging.
+ Operate forklift trucks and/or cranes to move materials into and out of assembly work products.
**Essential Skills**
+ Previous experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts.
+ Comfortable working at heights using very narrow aisle forklifts.
+ Versatile warehouse role understanding that forklift operation isn't constant.
+ Comfortable with the environment, including smells like paint and oil.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous shipping/receiving experience is advantageous.
+ Experience operating a turret truck forklift is preferred.
+ Familiarity with bill of ladings and inventory management.

**Work Environment**
Work in a modern and clean facility that embraces 5S principles, ensuring a well-lit, climate-controlled, and organized environment. The facility is divided into departments such as NEW PRODUCTION, WIND SERVICE, INDUSTRIAL, and LOGISTICS. You will be provided with a company shirt, but candidates should wear jeans or pants suitable for a warehouse environment. Safety is paramount, with a requirement for safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90/hr.
