**Job Title: Warehouse Worker** **Job Description** The role of a Warehouse Worker involves comparing identifying information and counts, weighing or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. You will determine the method of shipment when necessary and affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons. You will assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers, insert items into containers, screw covers on wooden crates, and bind containers with strapping. Additionally, you will attach identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers, post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage. You will unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. You will route items to departments and examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies is essential, as is operating equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, binding equipment, and Miter/Chop Saws. You will use basic hand tools, keep records of materials sent, read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed, and contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products. Staying current on all ZPG Procedures for packaging is vital, and other duties may be assigned. **Responsibilities** + Verify incoming and outgoing shipment information against records. + Determine method of shipment and affix shipping labels. + Assemble and prepare containers for shipping. + Attach identifying information and shipping instructions to containers. + Post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage. + Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages. + Route items to departments. + Examine outgoing shipments to ensure specifications are met. + Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. + Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, binding equipment, and Miter/Chop Saws. + Utilize basic hand tools. + Maintain records of materials sent. + Read shipping orders to determine transportation needs. + Arrange and instruct carrier representatives for loading products. + Stay updated on ZPG Procedures for packaging. **Essential Skills** + Forklift experience preferred. + Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. + Ability to read and interpret documents. + Ability to follow procedures and maintain a safe work environment. + Willingness to work as a team member. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience of one year or more in a warehouse/material handling environment is preferred. + Previous experience beyond Amazon is ideal. **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing business that is adding new lines and creating hundreds of new jobs and leadership opportunities. Be prepared for the strong smell of resin. The dress code includes jeans, plain long sleeve t-shirts (recommended), and closed-toed shoes (steel-toed boots are required). Candidates will be on their feet for extended periods, so comfortable shoes are important. All shifts are 12-hour shifts, with two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break. The swing schedule repeats every two weeks, with week 1 involving work on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and week 2 involving work on Wednesday and Thursday. Candidates will be assigned to either C or D shift, working from 5:45 pm to 6:00 am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Peters, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.69 - $20.09/hr.
