**Job Title: Warehouse Worker** **Pay/Shift** 18-19/hr 5:45am - 6:00pm - Rotating schedule **Job Description** As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for verifying and comparing identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments, assembling and packing containers, affixing shipping labels, and maintaining inventory of shipping materials. You will also operate various equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, and binding equipment. Additionally, you will ensure shipments meet specifications and handle any discrepancies with incoming shipments. **Responsibilities** + Compare identifying information and counts, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. + Determine the method of shipment when necessary. + Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons. + Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers. + Insert items into containers, screw covers on wooden crates, and bind containers with strapping. + Attach identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. + Post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage. + Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. + Route items to departments. + Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. + Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. + Operate forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. + Operate an overhead crane to move products. + Use basic hand tools. + Keep records of materials sent. + Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed. + Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products. + Other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience of one year or more in a warehouse/material handling environment is preferred. + Forklift experience preferred. + Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. + Ability to read and interpret documents. + Ability to follow procedures. + Maintain a safe and ethical work environment. + Willingness to work as a team member. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.69 - $20.09/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
