Job Description

The Warehouse and Transport Specialist is a critical role within the logistics team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from production to the customer. This position involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating transportation, supporting cost control, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, and supply chain principles.

How you will contribute:

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels in the main distribution center (DC), plant buffers, and overflow locations. Identify and address potential stock imbalances.Transportation Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and transport operations. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.Cost Control: Support cost control efforts by monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring accurate invoicing and accruals.Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, particularly related to the integration of new systems or processes.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, production, customer service) and external partners (e.g., carriers, suppliers).

Experience in logistics operations, procurement or supply chain function in general as an assetExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel)Good knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP R3Team players welcome
