Job Description The project will require the collection of Palo Alto Firewall Logs and Natting, BIG IP load balancing and Virtual IP Logging and documentation, Qualys Scanning data analysis. and the experience to build an SQL data set (create a structured set of tables associated with these assets) that the Client can leverage reporting over top to get the data we need. The role requires a blend of: • Network engineering experience (Palo Alto, NAT, traffic logs) • Load balancer experience (F5 BIG IP VIPs, pools, logging) • Vulnerability management experience (Qualys VMDR analysis) • Data engineering experience (SQL schema design, ETL, dataset creation) This combination enables the person to collect logs, interpret them, normalize them, and build a structured SQL dataset that the Client can use for reporting and analytics. Skills and Requirements Hands on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls Understanding of: Security policies, NAT rules (static, dynamic, PAT), Session logs, Threat logs, URL filtering logs Experience with Qualys VMDR or similar vulnerability scanners Understanding of: QIDs, severity, CVSS, Asset tagging and scoping, Scan authentication vs. unauthenticated results, False positive validation, Ability to export, normalize, and interpret scan data Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) Ability to design relational schemas Infrastructure Knowledge
