Major Activities
Responsible for all matters related to federal, state, local, and international income taxes, and sales & use tax (including, escheatment).Responsible for developing and overseeing international and domestic tax strategies.Assess and communicate to senior management the potential tax consequences of existing laws and pending legislation.Proactively leads and develops team members by creating a positive environment where they are challenged, motivated, and groomed for advancement.Builds and strengthens relationships with team members across the Company to ensure the Tax Department is effectively serving our business partners.Oversees financial reporting of the Company’s tax liabilities in accordance with ASC 740, including approval of quarterly and annual financial statement footnote disclosures.Produces periodic updates to the Audit Committee on the Company’s tax situation including effective tax rate projections and legislative developments.Manages outside tax service providers and counsel related to tax planning, compliance, and controversies projects.Oversight of income tax and indirect tax audits and support the development of our audit program.Responsible for all indirect tax compliance, including evaluating the financial, system, and operational considerations for new compliance obligations.Other duties as assignedMinimum Education

12+ years of in-depth tax experience with a well-regarded companyWell versed in all aspects of US and Canadian tax including planning, tax accounting, tax complianceSignificant experience developing tax strategy for mergers and acquisitionsExperience developing and maintaining international tax strategiesPreferred Special Certifications or technical skills

Experience with a well-recognized public accounting firm, preferable Big 4Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
