VP/Director of Finance
Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to oversee the daily operations of our Accounting Department in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and team-oriented approach to financial management, with a focus on long-term care accounting and finance. Responsibilities: • Provide daily oversight of the General Ledger Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounts Payable departments. • Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and skill development for five direct reports. • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements along with detailed accompanying reports. • Develop and maintain financial controls over operations, including expense budgeting, income forecasting, and performance analysis. • Drive departmental strategy and promote continuous improvement across all financial functions. • Establish, monitor, and refine financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Represent the Finance department on the Senior Management committee, contributing to organizational decision-making. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting management. • Prior experience in Senior Living and Skilled Nursing accounting is preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent oral and written communication abilities. • Proven commitment to team-oriented outcomes and a solid work history.
