Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to oversee the daily operations of our Accounting Department in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities: • Provide daily oversight of the General Ledger Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounts Payable departments. • Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and skill development for five direct reports. • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements along with detailed accompanying reports. • Develop and maintain financial controls over operations, including expense budgeting, income forecasting, and performance analysis. • Drive departmental strategy and promote continuous improvement across all financial functions. • Establish, monitor, and refine financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Represent the Finance department on the Senior Management committee, contributing to organizational decision-making. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting management. • Prior experience in Senior Living and Skilled Nursing accounting is preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent oral and written communication abilities. • Proven commitment to team-oriented outcomes and a solid work history.
