How will you make an impact in this role?

The Vice President, Commercial Data Platforms & Management is accountable for business ownership, governance, and risk management of critical Global Commercial Services (GCS) data assets. This role ensures that foundational commercial data is accurate, consistent, controlled, and compliant across the enterprise, enabling effective business operations and meeting regulatory and risk management expectations.

The VP leads a centralized data management organization responsible for data stewardship, lifecycle management, and data risk controls for designated Systems of Record (SORs), Authoritative Data Stores (ADS), and foundational data domains. In close partnership with Technology, GCS Data Risk Management and Business stakeholders, the role enables business-led data requirements, ensuring data platforms are operated and evolved in accordance with enterprise policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the business owner for designated Commercial Systems of Record, Authoritative Data Stores, and foundational data assets, with accountability for end-to-end data lifecycle managementAct as data steward delegate for critical dataDefine business requirements and lead delivery in partnership with TechnologiesEnsure foundational data assets are aligned to business and regulatory needsImplement and oversee data risk management practices for critical data assets, including data quality, integrity, availability, retention and usageImplement and operationalize data controls, monitoring, workflows, and key data risk indicators (KDRIs)Ensure data changes are appropriately assessed for downstream impacts, control effectiveness, and compliancePartner to support audits, regulatory exams, issue management, and remediationEnsure adherence to enterprise data management policies, standards, and regulatory expectationsPartner with Technology, Architecture, and Data Strategy teams to translate business data requirements into platform and solution designsProvide business oversight and input into technology roadmaps to ensure data platforms support business objectives, governance, control, and lifecycle requirementsDrive migration and adoption of authoritative data sources in partnership with Data Strategy and Data Risk Management teamsLead and develop a team of data managers with a focus on data riskBuild a culture of accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement in data management practices

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data management or enterprise information management at scaleStrong understanding of data risk management, controls, and regulatory expectationsDemonstrated experience owning business accountability for critical data assetsDeep knowledge of data concepts including metadata, lineage, data quality, master/reference data, and data lifecycle managementExperience defining and overseeing execution across multi-year roadmapsProven ability to influence across business and technology organizations

Preferred Qualifications

Data management leadership experience within financial services or similarly regulated industriesExperience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or formal data risk assessmentsExperience partnering with large-scale technology transformation programs
