Responsibilities

Our client is looking for VMware Engineers to join their team! In this role, you will travel to various Army bases in the U.S. to deploy and optimize VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments. You will work onsite alongside a specialized team of Architects and Staff Consultants, ensuring successful implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VCF in complex infrastructure environments.

 

This is a contract-to-hire position requiring a current Secret clearance.

Travel to assigned Army bases throughout the U.S. to provide onsite VCF deployment and supportAnalyze the customer’s existing infrastructure and collaborate with team members to develop an optimal deployment strategyInstall, configure, and maintain VMware, ensuring stability and performanceTroubleshoot and resolve network, storage, and virtualization issues within VCF environmentsDocument processes and solutions clearly for both internal teams and customersCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely status updates and recommendations

Requirements

Proven experience with VMware v6, 7, and 8Hands-on experience deploying and optimizing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)Strong networking knowledge and experience configuring and maintaining network environmentsHands-on experience with Windows environmentsAbility to effectively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issuesExcellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an onsite team environmentAbility to travel up to 75% nationally

Education/Certification Requirements

A bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of equivalent work experience 

Clearance Requirements
