Job summary:
The Vendor Management System Implementation Lead is responsible for the successful implementation and optimisation of the organisation’s Vendor Management System (VMS), Workday VNDLY, as part of a wider non-permanent labour transformation programme.
Sitting within the same team as the Contingent Labour Lead, this role will own the end-to-end delivery of the VMS implementation, working in close partnership with the appointed MSP provider, the HRIS team, Procurement, and the wider People function. While system implementation will be led by the MSP, this role will act as the business owner and intelligent client—providing direction, healthy challenge, and ensuring outcomes meet both immediate operational needs and longer-term strategic ambitions.
What you will be doing:
VMS Implementation Leadership: Own the end-to-end implementation of Workday VNDLY, ensuring delivery to scope, timeline, and quality expectations; Act as the primary business lead for the VMS implementation, coordinating activities across internal teams and external partners.; Partner closely with the MSP provider responsible for system delivery, providing clear direction and healthy challenge where required; Ensure alignment between the VMS, HRIS landscape, and broader People and Procurement processes.Solution Design & Future Proofing: Oversee the design and configuration of the VMS to meet immediate business requirements for contingent labour; Evolving governance, compliance, and reporting needs; Ensure the solution is scalable and future-proofed to support:Expansion into additional geographies, including global marketsNew non-permanent workforce categories, including Statement of Work (SoW)Balance global standardisation with flexibility for local market requirements.Stakeholder & Partner Management Build strong, collaborative relationships with MSP provider, HRIS and IT teams, Procurement, Talent Acquisition and People teams; Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating business needs into effective VMS solutions; Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively, driving resolution and decision-making.Adoption, Education & Change; Educate and upskill the wider Talent Acquisition and People teams on VMS technology and capabilities; Drive understanding of how Workday VNDLY supports compliant, efficient, and customer-centric non-permanent workforce management; Support change management, training, and adoption activities to embed the VMS into day-to-day operations; Act as a VMS subject-matter expert, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.Optimisation & Continuous Improvement: Help unlock the full capability of the VMS, identifying opportunities to optimise processes, reporting, and user experience; Use data and insights to drive enhancements and improve decision-making; Support post-implementation stabilisation and transition into business-as-usual ownership.Position requirements:
Proven experience leading or owning the implementation of a Vendor Management System (VMS).Hands-on experience with Workday VNDLY is highly desirable.Strong understanding of contingent labour and non-permanent workforce processes.Experience working with MSP partners and third-party system integrators.Ability to act as an intelligent client—providing direction, challenge, and governance over vendor-led delivery.Experience working in a complex, global, matrixed organisation.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions.Ability to translate technical system capability into clear business value.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).Desirable
Experience supporting global or multi-country VMS deployments.Exposure to Statement of Work (SoW) or broader services procurement models.Experience working with HRIS ecosystems and integrations.Background in large-scale change or transformation programmes.What do we offer:
