Viz Graphics Operator - Weekend - Contract Location New York Business Area News and Media Ref # 10048983 **Description & Requirements** Bloomberg Media is looking for an individual with a proactive attitude who is focused, flexible, and proficient in several aspects of broadcast operations, and who can work collaboratively in a live control room and studio environment in a viz/graphics operator capacity. We’re looking for someone who can take initiative and thoroughly follow a live broadcast conversation to accurately match elements on-screen. They will be required to work with operations, on-air talent, engineering, and editorial teams, as well as their global counterparts to ensure high-quality visual production on an early morning, weekend (part-time) basis. **We'll trust you to:** + Participate in pre-show meetings with editorial and technical teams to align show vision. + Move quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced live broadcast environment to deliver a high-quality visual product. + Operate a live broadcast graphics rundown, firing lower-third and full screen graphics to various engines while communicating with control room crew and editorial colleagues for a 3-hour production. + Proactively change graphics to accurately follow topic changes and breaking news developments, working quickly to match relevant graphics with the on-air conversation as they become available. + Communicate with Team Leads to report on issues and faults that will impact global counterparts. **You'll need to have:** + Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience working in a live TV environment. + 2 years of experience operating within Vizrt ecosystem or with relevant live graphics software (Xpression, Chyron). + An ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy under tight deadlines in high pressure situations in live broadcast environment. + Familiarity with ENPS or other relevant broadcast news rundown software + A strong desire to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment. + Ability to manage multiple streams of information simultaneously while operating live graphics system. + Early morning weekend availability is required. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
