Your New Role…
The Visual Merchandiser is a highly skilled creative individual, responsible for elevating in-store presentation at Harry Potter Shop Chicago and delivering story-driven and high-quality visual experiences. As one of two store Visual Merchandisers, you will bring brand concepts to life through detailed two- & three-dimensional detailed displays, consistent styling and thoughtful product placement that enhances both guest engagement and commercial results.
Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Manager and supported by the Senior Visual Merchandiser, you will take ownership of day-to-day visual execution within the store. This includes interpreting global guidelines, executing direction clearly and maintaining the highest standards of the brand. This role combines creativity, skilled craft and commercial understanding, this is ideal for a Visual Merchandiser ready to operate for a premium brand and contribute meaningfully to store performance and guest experience.

Your Key Responsibilities…
Visual Execution
• Execute all visual merchandising in Harry Potter Shop Chicago, including product placement through planogram designs, using display guidelines.
• Design visually engaging product stories that reflect the Harry Potter brand identity and enhance the guest experience, utilizing data and information to inform commercial decisions.
• Routinely refresh shop floor mannequins, table displays, wall bays and feature areas following provided visual direction in response to product sales.
• Maintain high presentation standards across the entire store including fixtures, props, signage and product flow.
• Designing and implementing displays, selecting props, and lighting, and creating planograms.
• Identifies needs for in-store graphics, POS, and all signage, designing and copywriting in line with current brand guidelines.
Operations
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the shop floor to ensure brand standards are maintained and take initiative in identifying opportunities for refresh or improvement.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards for all visual areas including fixtures, props, displays, and back-of-house storage.
• Reset floor displays based on stock availability, density needs and daily sales insights.
• Always maintain an eye for safety, following guidelines and PPE requirements for any and all tasks.
Commercial
• Monitor closely product performance and collaborate with leadership to act upon commercial priorities such as top sellers, slow-moving inventory, weekly category shifts and zero-sales reports.
• Reset floor displays based on stock availability, density needs and daily sales insights.
• Oversee low and out of stock merch categories.
• Responsible for maintaining acceptable parameters in visual setup spend.
Collaboration & Projects
• Take the lead on delivering store for seasonal refreshes, holiday activations, layout updates and major changeovers.
• Take ownership for elements of window execution, taking concept through to delivery.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations while remaining accountable for precise execution of approved direction.
• Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time.
Qualifications and Competencies
• 3 years of visual merchandising & store presentation experience in retail, primarily themed or experiential retail preferred.
• Strong eye for visual storytelling, composition, color, and product styling with evidenced examples of past experiences.
• Ability to interpret and execute visual direction with precision.
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising fundamentals including product flow, zoning, and fixture use.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle fixtures or equipment as required for display setups.
• Comfortable with working on a ladder.
• Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, Sketchup
• A level of craftsmanship and ability to create and install two-dimensional and three-dimensional work
• Previous experience with building, drafting, and a working knowledge of all crafting tools and Cricut machine.
• Experience working with a wide variety of mediums including paints and vinyl for decal applications.
Work Pattern
• Up to 40 hours a week working 8-hour shifts, this role will require one to two working weekends a month as a minimum, on a rotating basis with team.
• This role will be based in store at Harry Potter Shop Chicago.
• Due to the adaptive nature of this role flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business, including early mornings, overnight shifts and in-store launches especially around the holiday season.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $42,006.00 - $78,010.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
