MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Virtualization Engineer supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa on our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services II (EMITS II) program in Wiesbaden, Germany. 

Configure, manage and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructuresImplement and maintain DISA STIGsDesign, document, test and implement virtual services and devicesDemonstrate advanced analytical skills by identifying the root cause of complex issues to maintain maximum service availabilityAssess and evaluate current virtual computing infrastructure, and provide recommendations for enhancementsInstall, configure, and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.Build highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment.Build and configuring virtual networks.Create and maintain VM templates used for rapid deployment of virtual machines.Develop and maintain standard operating proceduresCreate and defend system change requestsDevelop, maintain and implement a proactive capacity planning model to support business decisionsDetects, identify and perform complex problem isolation and resolution throughout the virtual architectureDevelop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outagesMaintain virtual desktop infrastructure Support yearly disaster recovery exercises

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceExperience: 10+ years of experience as a systems administratorTechnical skills: Administration of VMware vCloud Foundation deployments; Administration of VMware Horizon VDI deployments; Administration of VMware NSX deploymentsSecurity clearance level: An active SECRET DoD clearanceUS citizenship requiredRole requirements: Must possess am IAT level II Compliant certification (i.e. Security+ CE, CASP, etc); VCP-DCV/NV 2021 (or higher) 

German TESA requirements:

A bachelors degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;An associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;11 years of recent specialized experience.
