Vice President Support Services -  NC/GA Division

Oversees and manage all support service operations within a division of a large health system. This leader will ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective support services across the enterprise, enhancing patient and teammate satisfaction. The Lead will drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the support services domain, aligning efforts with the health system's mission, vision, and values.

Major Responsibilities:

Designs and directs the work of Support Services, including Patient Transport, Guest Relations, Environmental Services and Food Nutrition Services, within designated division(s). Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams.  

Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved; Drives a culture of development within their hierarchy 

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff, patients, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure support services meet the needs of the entire health system.  

Lead divisional efforts to align operational best practices; Present outcomes to appropriate internal and external stakeholders, developing project plans as needed to meet organizational goals.  

Develops and manages budgets for divisional support services departments, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization without compromising service quality. Analyze financial reports and data to make informed decisions and adjustments. 

Manages contractual relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, optimizing service delivery, and addressing any service-related issues or concerns in collaboration with vendor leadership. 

Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business. 

Minimum Job Requirements 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field. 

Certification / Registration / License 

None

Experience

Typically, requires 10 years of relevant management experience.  ​ 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 

Ability to lead a large team 

Strong people management skills  

Strong oral and written communication skills and team building skills  

Strong proficiency in computer word processing, scheduling and accounting spreadsheets. 

Ability to lead in a highly matrixed complex organization. 

Expert knowledge in facilities and vendor management  

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

​​​This position requires travel; therefore, it will be exposed to weather and road conditions. ​​ 

 ​Operates all the equipment necessary to perform the job.​ 

 ​​Exposed to a normal office environment.​
