About the role 

 

Our Strategy team, composed of 11 people, is integrated in the Group Strategy and M&A department and focuses on defining and supporting the execution of the strategy of the Group and of our individual businesses, in collaboration with the GBUs and other departments. 

 

As a Vice-President Strategy, you will work on driving transformative initiatives for one of our businesses. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to shape our strategy, build strong, trust-based relationships, and turn growth opportunities into measurable results.  You will be part of the Leadership team of the GBU and be involved in all critical decisions made by the business. You will be accountable for: 

Driving strategic growth projects for the business unit aligned with strategic imperatives 

Defining strategic objectives with each potential counterpart: approach, structure agreements, lead negotiations 

Strategic leadership: define and execute the strategic roadmap for the business, ensuring alignment with global business objectives 

Project management: manage execution of large-scale internal and external projects, including transformation initiatives and footprint analysis 

Market analysis and insights: conduct research and financial analysis to support strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities 

Innovation and growth: bring forward thinking solutions to address market challenges, including new partnerships, projects and alternative business models 

 

We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode. 

 

About you

 

Relevant education degree or equivalent in business or chemical engineering (with an MBA preferred). Relevant work experience of at least 10 years in M&A or strategy consulting. 

 
Competencies: 

Proven track record in M&A transactions (in chemicals, commodities, process industry or similar), business development and project management  

Proven project leadership skills, directing both internal and external stakeholders 

Solid understanding of financial metrics 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

 
Behaviors: 

Excellent communication and presentation skills 

Flexible and organized, ability to deliver on time and under pressure 

Team spirit, ability to make connections with counterparts and organization  

 

About the pay

 

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: 

160 000€ - 200 000€ per year in Belgium 

129 600€ - 162 000€ per year in France 

 
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus, long term and annual incentives. .
