Vice President of Operations
Star Pediatrics by Abound Health is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join our team. In this role, you will report to the President. This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day clinical and operational performance of our pediatric business line, ensuring high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and financial stewardship. This role is hybrid and can sit in any of our 3 locations, Saddlebrook, Howell, or Mount Laurel, NJ. Key Responsibilities + Provide executive oversight of daily nursing operations, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant pediatric care. + Oversee nursing leaders to drive best practices, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement. + Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, payer, and accreditation requirements. + Lead operational planning to support growth, capacity expansion, and service excellence. + Oversee referral management and intake functions to ensure timely, accurate, and family-centered access to services. + Monitor performance metrics, including referral-to-admission conversion rates and capacity utilization. + Partner with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and performance management. + Serve as the primary operational liaison between Star Pediatrics and centralized shared services teams. + Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and collaboration. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field preferred. + 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, pediatrics, or clinical services. + Proven experience leading complex operations with strong clinical, financial, and people management components. + Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and operational metrics. + Preferred: Experience in pediatric or community-based healthcare services, scaling service lines, and value-based care models. Compensation & Benefits The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $150,000 - $200,000. Base pay is determined by factors such as work location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include various other forms of pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits, which begin on your 60th day of employment. Additionally, our 401(k) plan becomes available after 6 months of employment and 500hrs worked.
