Vice President of Information Technology (81023)

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Vice President of Information Technology provides technical guidance in the development and support of enterprise strategic goals. This individual leverages technology resources within the enterprise to deliver solutions and ongoing operational oversight for long term success.  Key responsibilities include technical direction and the development of policies and processes in conjunction with senior leadership to align best practices within the enterprise. 

This role is a matrixed reporting role operating within a large healthcare enterprise in support of the broad organizational missions of delivering training and education through a healthcare non-profit, a long-term care (Skilled Nursing) portfolio and related ancillary lines of business.

Strategic Implementation

Provide high-level guidance, insight and technical expertise to ensure their business goals are supported by modern, cost-effective and scalable technology. Offer technical insight and act as the lead consultant for organizational technical roadmap, ensuring successful implementation, operations and maintenance.   Ensure IT initiatives are both technically sound and aligned with the strategic plan and all relevant regulatory requirements.

Consulting & Oversight

Execute high-priority consulting assignments as directed by the CIO, providing an "outside-in" perspective on enterprise IT. Monitor the effectiveness of resources, ensuring effectiveness and enterprise standard alignment. Experience providing project management oversight for large-scale systems.

Reporting Structure & Matrix Environment

Reports directly to the CIO of Regency Integrated Health Services. Leverages existing internal technology resources, contingent upon CIO oversight. This is an individual contributor leadership role; success is measured by the ability to influence and lead teams that do not report to you directly.

Qualifications & Skills

10+ years of IT leadership, with specific experience in resource management or IT shared services.  Proven track record of leading projects where team members belong to different organizational units. Understanding of the regulatory environment and the budgetary nuances of both the healthcare vertical and the non-profit sector. Experience with enterprise, line-of-business systems of record (e.g., HCM, ERP, EHR) from Request for Proposal (RFP) to Operations and Maintenance (O&M). Ability to navigate organizational needs while managing enterprise resource availability. Ability to turn business goals into technical requirements for execution. A focus on delivering results through collaboration rather than setting the high-level enterprise strategy. Guide the evaluation and adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation to improve workforce effectiveness, operational efficiency, reporting, and decision support, while ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy, security, and ethical standards. Provide direction on enterprise data architecture, analytics, and reporting, ensuring leadership has accurate, timely insight across workforce, operations, and finance. Extensive experience in IT Service Management using industry standard methodologies (ITIL, COBIT, etc.) including Service Desk, Inventory & Asset Management, Communication tools and technology, infrastructure, applications/services and databases. Demonstrated ability to manage an Information Security program, both administrative and technical components, and knowledge of relevant industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.). Provide oversight for the design, development, deployment and operations of custom software-based solutions.  Understanding of software development methodologies, audit and practical operation within existing environments.
