Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst
In this role, you will:
Meet the company’s regulatory, Security and Exchange Commission, and other external financial reporting requirements
Lead planning and execution strategy of large, complex external financial reporting requirements
Provide technical interpretation on various matters and is a key change agent in building and adopting best practices within the functional area
Lead implementation of the most complex projects and initiatives impacting multiple lines of business across the enterprise
Lead stakeholder development by maintaining ongoing interaction that increases their awareness, understanding, accountability, and engagement in the reporting process
Lead and direct accounting technical regulatory capital and regulatory reporting guidance
Lead technical advisory and reporting delivery in the company’s coordination of the regulatory reporting reviews performed by United States Federal Banking and Broker Dealer agencies
Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Communicate and provide strategic consultation to leadership throughout the enterprise
Act as a liaison for regulatory reporting issues with both internal and external audit staffs, as well as, banking and broker dealer regulators
Act as a team lead in providing work guidance or mentorship to other individuals
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA with experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting
Excels at supporting ad-hoc requests for reporting analysis and issue investigation as needed
Solid experience in US Regulatory Reporting. Strong accounting background is a requirement
Public Accounting Certification strongly preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Ability to perform in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to: plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of complex business problems

The ESG Offshore resources support the Enterprise Financial Reporting Team by performing data collection, aggregation, consolidation, reconciliation, first-level analysis, pre-production activities, initial report preparation, and variance analysis and associated report preparation activities. They also perform operational processes such as data compilation, reconciliation, and schedule preparation.
About the Role
The Wells Fargo’s Regulatory and Basel Reporting team (RBR) EGS India Team is responsible for supporting the filing of regulatory reports with numerous regulatory agencies and currently has many ongoing projects related to the enterprise-wide implementation of a centralized data management infrastructure and the COSO-based governance and oversight framework.
RBR is looking for a senior regulatory and financial reporting Operations Lead to join its India team to review and analyze various Regulatory Reporting schedules. This key, senior level role will also be responsible for preparing senior management impact assessments supporting regulatory amendments and / or implementation of new accounting standards or regulatory rules. Core responsibilities include review and credible challenge of prepared regulatory reports, related process improvement and regulatory reporting infrastructure implementation initiatives. This position will coordinate with key partners and the Operations Lead will communicate with management, business line controllers, board members and banking regulators, including the Federal Reserve Board and FDIC, providing prompt reporting status and appropriate responses to questions and inquiries.
Responsibilities
The Operations Lead will oversee and provide support for the following:
Call Reporting which requires knowledge of core US Regulatory Weekly and Quarterly Reporting. This function requires Report Owner (actual data / reports submitted) experience in preparing and reviewing data received from our Business Controllers and / or General Ledger with specific emphasis on the FFIEC031 (Call Report), FR Y9-C (Holding Company Statement of Condition) and FR2900 Weekly Deposits that supports our FDIC Assessment.
Legal Entity Reporting : FR Y11 and FR 2314
Responsibilities include:
Maintain and obtain SME knowledge of the main Regulatory Reporting requirements.
Performance of comprehensive assessments of new accounting standards from a Regulatory Reporting perspective.
Preparation/review of information to board level financial summaries including significant transactions and variance highlights, working efficiently with accounting policy and SEC
Partners with Corporate Accounting Policy, Business Controllers and the Regulatory Interpretations Team to ensure that consistent adherence to regulatory rules including assessment of scheduled changes.
Participate in key projects to support the RBR Reporting Teams in meeting the fast change and heightened expectations of regulatory reporting requirements.
Implement change management effectively communicating regulatory reporting changes to all stakeholders
Ensure the compliance with requirements under the Company’s Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework
Provide input to the impact of reporting deficiencies; communicate and facilitate the discussion with line of business reporting teams for resolution; track and document the resolution implementation cycle from report owner perspectives. Follow the enterprise controls and oversight established amendments framework as required.
Set standards for report review process to ensure the fulfillment of report owner responsibility.
