As a key member of the leadership team, the VP of Finance & Accounting is responsible for finance, accounting, and risk management for FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics Inc. (FCDI). This is a “hands-on” role that requires both strategic and tactical skills, providing direct support to the executive team and facilitating annual and long-term strategic planning exercises. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Finance & Accounting will lead the Company’s finance function across the full spectrum of accounting, financial and reporting, treasury, taxation, internal controls and financial planning and analysis. Our Company operates in a competitive, high-growth industry with increasing complexity. This role is a key leader in the business and will help to build a top-notch finance and accounting team to fit with the strategic plan of the Company. Emphasis will be placed on prioritization of investments required to achieve top-line revenue growth and profitability expansion.
The preference is for this role to be onsite, but a hybrid work arrangement can be considered with a minimum onsite presence of two work days per month.

Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business area; or combination of Bachelor’s degree and work historyMinimum 15 years of progressive financial / accounting management responsibilities with at least 10 years of management / leadership experienceExperience working for a public company preferredCDMO / Life Sciences company experience strongly preferredExperience with reporting to financial regulatory agenciesStrong working knowledge of GAAP and IFRSExperience with SAP preferredExceptional verbal and written communication skills; strategic thinking requiredOutstanding personnel management and development skills; ability to be a hands-on leaderAbility to understand both business needs of the customer and FCDIAbility to develop business cases, plans, forecasts, budgets, complex financial models, strategic insightsBroad leadership skills and a proven ability to focus on execution and resultsDemonstrated ability to direct multiple large complex projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership skills within cross functional teams; a demonstrated leader through influencePrefer on-site presence in Madison, WI, will consider hybrid with at least 2 work days per month on-siteTravel 10% (higher if hybrid), to include occasional international travelEEO Information
