About the role
We are seeking a Vice President to join the Brookfield Singapore office. Brookfield is seeking an experienced Sales to drive Product Placement, onboarding and due diligence with Brookfield’s Wealth Partners across Asia ex Japan. The role will be focused on placing Brookfield products with private banks, wealth managers, securities firms and other wealth intermediaries through coverage of fund selection and due diligence teams. The role will also be responsible for driving due diligence and onboarding progress, working closely with sales team and other internal stakeholders within Brookfield.
The role will represent across Brookfield’s investment platform including our private funds (close and open ended), daily liquid public securities capabilities and semi-liquid vehicles.
Job purpose
This role will focus on product placement with financial intermediaries. As part of the Private Wealth AxJ business, the candidate will work closely with broader AxJ sales team, reporting into Head of Asia ex Japan. The candidate will be an experienced sales, a self-starter, a strong negotiator with experience working across various markets in Asia. The candidate should have a strong network with fund selectors and key decision makers within financial intermediaries.
The role will also require collaborating with global placement teams to drive forward opportunities in a disciplined manner. The candidate is expected to have strong technical knowledge of investment solutions, experience with Alternatives products is preferred.
Key accountabilities
Responsibilities include:
Grow Brookfield’s wealth management business through driving new product onboarding with Wealth partners in AxJ.
Able to work with product and investment team to position Brookfield’s offerings, identify best opportunities with each partner, emphasize Brookfield’s competitive edge and conduct ongoing competitor fund analysis.
Able to collaborate with sales team and regional placement team.
Maintain opportunity pipeline and manage onboarding process
Be accountable for product placement targets within AxJ
Be responsible for representing and driving placement on liquid and private markets offerings
Key contacts the individual will have on an ongoing basis:
Internal - Brookfield Employees, Brookfield Private Wealth Group, Investor Relations, project Management teams, Legal and Compliance
External – Fund Selectors and Due Diligence team (Banks, Independent Wealth Managers, Securities Firms, Asset Managers)
Qualifications/ Experience Required:
Strong track record of wealth management fund raising and business development
Quantifiable track record of raising capital within wealth management channel
Experience in alternatives including private real estate, infrastructure, private equity, open ended and liquid real assets.
Solid product knowledge, be able to present the products and handle questions professionally.
A strong network of relationships with fund selectors and key decision makers within the private wealth segment in AxJ.
Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance.
At least 10-15 years’ experience in due diligence / fund raising function within Asset Management in Asia.
