Join the Business Management team supporting the Senior Impact Finance & Advisory (IFA) Business Manager, and lead the Equity Portfolio Management function focused on a portfolio of impact-driven venture and fund investments. The IFA team invests JPMC’s capital to advance its impact objectives across five areas of focus: Careers and Skills, Financial Health & Wealth Creation, Community Development, Business Growth & Entrepreneurship, and Environmental Sustainability. Business Management (BM) optimizes business performances by helping to drive key strategic initiatives and priorities. We act as independent, trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.
As a Vice President on the IFA BM team, you will be responsible for executing the primary Equity Portfolio Management functions and supporting the group in formulating business strategy, driving plans to optimize business performance, and managing business risks.
Job Responsibilities
Drive production of reporting and key performance metrics that support management reporting, including the quarterly Portfolio Management Forum (PMF), Independent Valuation Review Forum (IVRF) and Executive Monthly Reporting (EMR)Review periodic financial reporting, assist with valuation analyses, and input key financial data into systems of record Utilize financial and business analyses to assess performance of investees and join investment team on investee callsIdentify portfolio insights and trends to influence future deployment or existing portfolio management strategySupport execution of portfolio activity (capital calls, draws etc.) as requiredDevelop strategy and processes to continually improve the existing Portfolio Management functionLead execution of critical Business Management workstreamsTrack and monitor pipeline transactionsManage budget reporting including the value of potential and overall trends; review and report on expense trends and outlookSupport governance processes (e.g., setting agendas, creating/syndicating materials, upkeeping procedures, owning follow-ups)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
At least 6 years of experience in the financial services industry coupled with experience in a business management related roleA demonstrated passion for social enterprise, development finance, and/or environmental workDemonstrated experience in financial and valuation analyses with excellent accounting knowledge Familiarity with Venture Capital, Private Equity, Credit, or Investment Banking productsAbility to independently formulate business strategy, construct compelling narratives, and present to senior executivesDemonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative, to prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks, and to work under deadlines and changing priorities in order to drive resultsAbility to navigate a highly matrixed organization including ability to work across/with various functionsHighly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Note: This role requires five days in the office (Mon-Fri) and will not support Hybrid options.
