Vice President, Software Engineer (Fullstack - .NET)

About this role

Within the Aladdin Product Group – Alternatives, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to work on Invest Central, a core platform within the Insight ecosystem. This role is based in London andoperatesas part of a globally distributed engineeringorganisation.

Invest Central isat the heart of the Private Markets data platform, designed to streamline and automate complex data processing, validation, and workflow orchestration across thePrivateMarketlifecycle. It acts as acentralisedsystem of record and processing layer, integrating withour analytical platformand downstream consumers to improve dataavailability, reduce manual intervention, and scale operational throughput.

Thisrole is ahands-on senior individual contributorfunction, withfocus ison designing, building, and operating software ina highly complex, data-driven production environment. 

About you

You are an experienced software engineer who is comfortable working on large, long-lived systems where correctness, traceability, and operational stability matter as much as delivery speed.

You enjoy understanding how data flows through systems, how workflows interact across services, and how design decisions affect downstream consumers. Youare able towork autonomously in complex codebases, while collaborating closely with peers across engineering, product, and QA.

As a senior engineer, you contribute through hands-on development, sound technical judgement, and constructive collaboration, rather than through formal authority. You take ownership of the quality of your work and understand the impact it has on business-critical workflows.

What you will be doing

Designing and implementing features within Invest Central, focusing on data processing, validation workflows, and integration with the Insight ecosystem

Working across the full software lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident investigation

Contributing to the evolution of core data models and workflows supporting fund operations, transactions, onboarding, and downstream data distribution

Writing clear, maintainable code and contributing to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines

Diagnosing issues in existing systems, including legacy Insight components, and improving them incrementally and safely

Participating actively in code reviews and technical discussions

Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, product partners, and QA across locations

What you bring

Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline

Extensive professional experience building and supporting production software systems (typically 10+ years)

Strong ability to independently navigate and understand complex, existing codebases

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in data-centric and workflow-driven systems

Experience working on systems where data quality, auditability, and operational reliability are critical

Professional fluency in English, written and spoken
