Vice President, People and Culture Job Summary The Vice President, People & Culture (VP, P&C) will build on the foundational work of Vision 2030 by accelerating culture transformation, leadership development, and employer-of-choice strategies while optimizing existing programs through a scalable people and culture infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and partnering closely with the People and Culture team, programs and operations leaders, this role will redesign and implement aligned programs, processes, and policies to support the CCAC 2030 plan and meet evolving business needs. The VP, P&C will lead teams across talent acquisition and onboarding, employee relations and engagement, and performance management, serving as a key liaison to organizational leaders. Catholic Charities works in a hybrid environment. This role will work three days a week out of the downtown Chicago office located at 721 N. LaSalle Street. Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Enhance and scale redesigned talent acquisition and onboarding programs to further reduce turnover and strengthen engagement; deepen partnerships with hiring managers to embed best practices. Continue to refine branding with CCAC as employer of choice given the 2030 Plan and renewed focus and purpose. Employee Relations and Engagement Complete HR policy review and revision for all HR policies, ensuring alignment with CCAC vision and values, and its desire to be an employer of choice. Develop and implement a human factored Employee Handbook that successfully conveys CCAC's vision and values, and communicates clearly employee expectations as well as what CCAC offers as an employer of choice. Performance Management In partnership with the P&C and Mission Support Leadership, establish and roll out a performance management program and process for the organization. Ensure accompanying leader/supervisor roll out and training given redesigned processes and programs. Develop trusted relationships with CCAC's managers and supervisors. Education and Experience Requirements Relevant Education: Preferred: Masters Degree Minimum: Bachelor's Degree Relevant Experience: Minimum: 7-10 years of senior level HR experience, engaging & supporting managers and supervisors. Demonstrated experience in creating and supporting high performance teams. Demonstrated track record in delivering sustainable organizational results through best-in-class people practices. Credible and savvy leader who will be perceived as a trusted consultant and functional expert to senior management Superior interpersonal and communication skills Authentic individual with impeccable integrity Preferred: 10+ years of senior level HR experience, engaging & supporting managers and supervisors. E xperience supporting multi-site employee populations. Certification/Licensure: Preferred: SPHR or SHRM designation highly preferred Physical Requirements Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day Climb up to 4 flights of stairs at a time Lift up to 25 pounds Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds Additional Requirements: X Background check, including any program specific requirements X Driver's License and reliable transportation X Travel to CCAC offices in Cook and Lake Counties up to 25% required
