Job Description:

TD Securities is currently seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Real Estate Investment Banking practice in New York. The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of sourcing and executing Real Estate transactions and maintaining strategic dialog with clients. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of complex transactions. He or she will also play a critical role in developing junior professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize real estate sector expertise in developing presentations, term sheets and financial models to analyze clients’ financial situations, financing, and M&A opportunitiesManage deal execution and project management throughout the lifecycle of a transactionConstruct detailed M&A and joint venture models and provide any necessary financial and statistical analysisConduct deep industry and company-specific due diligence  Oversee and/or assist in the preparation of business valuationsProvide timely support to cross-functional teams such as Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Corporate Risk SolutionsCreate presentation materials and actively participate in client discussionsWork independently to deliver presentations and client follow-up requests on a timely basisGuide junior bankers in the preparation of pitchbooks and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, management presentations, ad-hoc analysis, due diligence, and the building of financial modelsBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clientsInteract with senior TD Securities team members and client management teams on a daily basis to successfully execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives


Qualifications:

Candidates must have a strong background in investment banking underpinned by solid quantitative and analytical skills. He or she should be able to think creatively about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients and have an exceptional grasp on accounting, valuation, finance, and business strategy. Specific qualifications include:

5+ years of investment banking experience; Real Estate industry experience is strongly preferredExcellent analytical and modeling skills with a vast knowledge of finance and accounting principlesExpertise in all phases of project management and deal execution with an established track recordAbility to comfortably interact with clients in a professional settingAssist with idea generation and deal sourcing, when appropriateAble to provide direction and leadership to build a strong team environmentExceptional written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree from a leading universitySeries 79 and 63 preferred
