Job Overview

In this role, you’re expected to:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President - Project Lead to join our Fund Operations Change team. This role is critical in driving strategic initiatives, managing complex projects, and ensuring the successful implementation of operational improvements within the Fund Services area across Middle Office, Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency. The VP - Project Lead will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project budgets, and delivering projects on time and within scope. This position requires a strong understanding of fund services operations, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

The Project Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects.Assess creation of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents.Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones.Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate.Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants.Provides sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.Directly affects the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Qualifications:

6-10 years of experience on significant client change or implementation programs, preferably within Fund Operations/Investor Services spaceWorking experience and/or expertise around local/APAC landscape, environment, and specificsProven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budgetContinuous improvement and transformation-related skillset and mindset with proven track record of the sameExcellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)Stakeholders’ management skills, ability to build long-term relationshipsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
