Vice President, Fund Accounting – Hedge Funds

Compensation: $115,000–$155,000 CAD + annual performance-based bonusPlease note, this role will be Hybrid at the client’s downtown Toronto, ON office (3 days a week / 12 times a month)Permanent, full-time position + BenefitsResponsibilities
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to Managers, Supervisors, and indirect offshore team membersEnsure all client deliverables are completed accurately and on time, meeting service level expectationsAct as a senior client contact, partnering with investors, investment managers, auditors, banks, brokers, and other fund participantsSupport business growth by leveraging existing client relationships and participating in client presentations and proposalsManage operational targets including staffing levels, productivity, overtime, and budget oversightConduct performance evaluations and ensure ongoing professional development across the teamCollaborate closely with auditors and external stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues efficientlyLead and participate in strategic initiatives and projects tied to business expansion and operational evolutionContinuously assess processes to eliminate inefficiencies and drive operational excellenceEnsure alignment with firm-wide initiatives and foster a cohesive, high-performing team environment Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA or equivalent designation is an asset7+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong focus on hedge fund accounting3+ years of people management experience, including team development and performance managementProven experience managing client relationships and senior stakeholdersStrong commercial and business acumen with the ability to support new business growthStrategic, analytical thinker with the ability to assess risk and make sound operational decisionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMotivated, results-driven leader with experience managing teams through growth and change
