Job Description: Broker Coach - Commercial Real Estate Development

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Broker Coach to lead the development and enhancement of our commercial real estate broker talent. This strategic role combines deep industry expertise with coaching and program design capabilities to elevate broker performance across the organization. The Broker Coach will serve as the bridge between business objectives and learning initiatives, ensuring our development programs are both industry-relevant and practically applicable.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Implementation

Partner closely with business leaders to understand performance gaps and development needsEnsure development programs align with business objectives and are implemented as designedWork with regional and local leadership to customize programs for specific market conditionsMonitor program rollout and provide ongoing support to ensure consistent implementation

Individual & Group Coaching

Provide direct coaching and mentoring to high-potential brokers and underperforming team membersFacilitate group learning sessions, workshops, and peer-to-peer learning opportunitiesConduct skills assessments and support leaders in the creation of individualized development plansSupport new broker onboarding and integration processes

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Establish and track key performance indicators for broker development programsAnalyze program effectiveness through data collection, feedback, and performance metricsConduct regular program evaluations and implement improvements based on resultsReport on program outcomes to leadership and recommend strategic adjustments

Program Development & Design

Partner with the People Team to design, develop, and continuously improve comprehensive training and development programs for commercial real estate brokers at all experience levelsEstablish measurable learning objectives and success metrics for all development initiativesServe as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for all commercial real estate broker training contentReview, validate, and approve all educational materials, ensuring accuracy and industry relevanceStay current with market trends, regulations, and industry best practices to inform program contentDevelop and maintain a comprehensive library of training resources, case studies, and practical tools

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

Minimum 7-10 years of successful commercial real estate brokerage experienceProven track record of top performance in commercial real estate transactionsExperience working with cross-functional teams and matrix reporting structures3+ years of experience in coaching, training, or talent development roles preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets, transaction processes, and industry dynamicsStrong knowledge of prospecting, lead generation, relationship building, and deal negotiationFamiliarity with CRM systems, market analysis tools, and industry databasesExcellent presentation and facilitation skills

Personal Attributes

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levelsAnalytical mindset with ability to assess performance gaps and design targeted solutionsCollaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively across departmentsResults-oriented with focus on measurable outcomesAdaptable and responsive to changing business needs

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Education, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as CCIM, SIOR, or similar industry credentialsFormal training or certification in coaching, instructional design, or adult learningExperience with learning management systems and e-learning platformsKnowledge of performance management and succession planning processes

Reporting Structure

Regular collaboration with regional business leaders and sales management teams in addition to the People Team.

Success Metrics

Broker performance improvement across key metrics (deal volume, client acquisition, retention)Program completion rates and participant satisfaction scoresTime-to-productivity for new brokersInternal promotion rates and career advancement within the broker populationBusiness impact measurements tied to training initiatives

Travel Requirements

Moderate travel expected (25-40%) for program delivery, coaching sessions, and market visitsFlexibility to support multiple office locations and regional teams

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 233,750.00 - $275,000.00
