The CBRE Vertical Transportation Manager will support all Vertical Facilities activities for a large number of retail stores across the country. The Manager will be the point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information on elevators/escalators from the facilities organization of CBRE . Will be responsible for overseeing work orders and inspection reports, continuous follow up with vendors on the violations, Store Focus Report database management, and daily office operations. Additionally, the CBRE Vertical Transportation Manager will need to study and understand elevator/escalator codes as they pertain to the account portfolio.
**Essential Job Responsibilities:**
Perform audits of vertical transportation equipment such as elevators and escalators. Submit deficiencies in writing to service provider and follow up until satisfactory corrections are made.
Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and work through implementation and completion. Responsible for reporting status of individual and groups of projects and programs. Provides appropriate levels of detail, and summarizes complex issues succinctly.
May contract and manage multiple escalator/elevator service vendors. May provide consultation on complex low to medium scale projects integrated into an organized program.
Submit audits to client. Audit documents shall include recommendations advising work that would increase reliability and equipment life.
Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.
**Other Tasks to be Performed:**
+ Manage replacement of escalators and single- bottom jacks.
+ Lead and verify annual Clean Downs of escalators.
+ Evaluate callout invoices. Invoices for work included in current service contract shall be rejected. Appropriate invoices shall be submitted to JCP Senior Vertical Manager for payment.
**What You'll Bring**
Minimum 10 years experience working in Vertical Transportation industry as service mechanic for elevators and escalators. QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspections) and/or other relevant certifications preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and customer service skills. Knowledge of technical requirements, comprehend technical drawings/mechanical documents.
Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages and discounts, analyze, and interpret complex documents, solve problems involving several options in situations.
Strong process skills, negotiating, and decision-making ability.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
