**About the Role** Uber Advertising is seeking a strategic, commercially-minded Vertical Insights Partner for the US & Canada region. You will focus on using data to answer the "Why Uber?" question for our prospective clients. You will be the hands-on expert who mines our massive first-party database and integrates third-party research to build the narratives that open doors and close deals. You will act as the bridge between raw data and revenue, equipping the US & Canada Sales team with the audience profiles, vertical trends, and consumer behaviors they need to challenge the status quo and win investment. **What You'll Do:** **Pre-Sales Narrative & Storytelling** - Drive the Pitch: You are responsible for equipping the sales team with data-backed stories that highlight the unique value of Uber’s audience compared to competitors - Platform Details: Create detailed platform narratives using internal data to show clients exactly how our platforms influence our consumers’ day to day lives - Visual Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling slides and narratives that Sales can immediately deploy in client meetings **Data Execution (1st & 3rd Party)** - Hands-on SQL Analysis: Leverage solid SQL proficiency to independently query first-party databases. You won't rely on others to pull data; you will hunt for the insights yourself to validate hypotheses - Integrated Research: Blend survey-based consumer sentiment (3rd party/primary research) with hard behavioral data (1st party) to uncover the "why" and "what" of consumer behavior - Market Trends: Identify market trends in US & Canada to help position Uber Ads as a thought leader, identifying strategic gaps in the market and building research plans to address them **Strategic Support & Collaboration** - Sales Consultation: Act as a go-to consultant for the US & Canada Sales leadership, ensuring research initiatives align with regional go-to-market strategies - Global Alignment: Collaborate with Scaled Research Team Leads to leverage global frameworks while customizing narratives to address the specific nuances and cultural context of the US & Canada market - Innovation: Leverage AI tools to scale insight generation and automate the pattern recognition process **Basic Qualifications:** - 3+ years' experience in consumer insights, market research, or data analytics, specifically within digital media or advertising - SQL Proficiency: You must be comfortable writing queries to extract behavioral data to supplement research findings - Primary Research Experience: Experience designing or analyzing survey questionnaires and 3rd party research data - Pre-Sales/Pitch Experience: A portfolio or track record of creating data-driven narratives that were used to influence stakeholders or clients - Bachelor's degree **Preferred Qualifications:** - 4+ years’ experience in a hybrid role blending quantitative research (surveys) and data analytics (behavioral) - Commercial Acumen: Experience working directly with Sales or Marketing leadership in a high-growth tech or media company - Vertical Expertise: Experience analyzing specific verticals (e.g., Travel, Auto, Entertainment) to find unique consumer angles - Tooling: Experience with AI tools for content creation or data analysis For Canada-based roles: Uber may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of our recruiting process; however, Uber employees make the ultimate selection and hiring decisions. This advertisement relates to a current, existing vacancy. For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$88,000 per year - CAD$98,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
