Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

3 days in office 2 days work from home

Contract: 1-year contract with option to extend and strong opportunity for permanent hire

Role Summary

The VMI & Customer Pick Up Specialist is responsible for driving on-time, cost-efficient inventory replenishment and customer pickups. This role manages Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs and coordinates Customer Pick Up (CPU) execution end to end.

The position blends planning, order orchestration, portal and EDI management, and daily collaboration with customers, carriers, and internal teams to reduce stockouts, optimize truck utilization, and protect service KPIs.

Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Own daily and weekly VMI replenishment cycles for assigned customers. Monitor on-hand inventory, days of supply, and min/max levels to build load plans that prevent stockouts and overstock. Write and release VMI orders in Data Alliance, ensuring accuracy of quantities, dates, and customer compliance. Manage item setup and resolve item exceptions within Data Alliance.Customer Pick Up (CPU) & Execution

Manage CPU portal activities including appointments, load submissions, and scheduling.

Coordinate with warehouses and logistics centers to confirm order readiness. Validate ASN, packing slips, and BOL accuracy. Resolve pickup exceptions such as late trucks, short loads, and no-shows.Collaboration & Performance Work closely with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams. Support service and cost KPIs through proactive planning and issue resolution. Identify opportunities to improve replenishment efficiency and truck utilization.Required Qualifications Experience in VMI, logistics, supply chain, or customer service operations. Ariba or SAP experience required. Experience with Data Alliance is a strong plus. Familiarity with customer portals and EDI processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
