Oversee POS and electronic payment use in a cashless environment, including support for handheld devices, monitoring end-of-shift settlements, and flagging discrepancies for management review.
Manage inventory for assigned vending locations through oversight of opening and closing counts, tracking transfers and returns, monitoring product levels, and ensuring inventory balances to event sales.
Place and adjust daily orders in collaboration with the Vending Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels based on projections, historical trends, and actual sales.
Monitor waste and spoilage by reviewing product usage and production levels, implementing practices to minimize loss while maintaining food quality and safety.
Ensure all vending areas, storage spaces, and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in compliance with Legends and Rogers Centre standards.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints that cannot be resolved by vendors, providing timely, professional resolutions and escalating when necessary.
Ensure staff follow all corporate, facility, and government regulations, including those related to alcohol service, food safety, health and safety, and accessibility.
Serve as a visible role model by maintaining proper uniform and appearance, demonstrating professional conduct, and fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.

Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal direction and effective, respectful interaction with guests, staff, and management.

Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, including sound decision-making under pressure and in high-traffic situations.
Comfort working with handheld POS devices, inventory tools, and basic reporting to support event operations.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and to coach team members on compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
Prior supervisory or lead experience in vending, concessions, food and beverage, or a similar high-volume service operation is preferred.
Strong understanding of inventory control practices, including counts, transfers, reconciliation, and loss prevention, ideally within a stadium or arena environment.
Smart Serve certification and minimum legal serving age as required in Ontario.
Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain) and working knowledge of safe food handling standards.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and high-volume situations simultaneously while maintaining service quality.
Experience working with diverse teams and guests, with the ability to receive direction from management and implement it effectively on the floor.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on the Rogers Centre event schedule.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking throughout concourses, seating areas, and back-of-house spaces for the duration of events while observing and supervising vending operations.
Frequent visual and auditory monitoring of vendors and guest interactions to ensure safety, service quality, and adherence to procedures.
Occasional bending, reaching, and handling of light items (e.g., paperwork, handheld devices, small supplies) associated with supervisory duties, in accordance with CBA expectations.
Ability to move quickly between zones and levels, including use of stairs, during peak service periods.
Frequent speaking and hearing to communicate with vendors, guests, and other departments in a noisy, crowded environment.
