Our client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle industry, is seeking a Vehicle Technician to support the ongoing readiness of their cutting-edge fleet. This is a hands-on role focused **on vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, reworks, and general operations within the workshop** . The right candidate will be committed to quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced, evolving environment. **Job Title: Vehicle Technician** **Location: Miami, FL** **Pay Rate: $44.70/hr** W2 Contract | Long-Term Opportunity 💡 Flexibility with shifts is required — shift days/times are subject to change. **What You’ll Be Doing:** + Performing all repairs and maintenance in accordance with work instructions and documenting results. + Conducting multi-point inspections and system checks, recommending any necessary actions to ensure fleet safety and performance. + Carrying out high-quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately. + Logging repairs and diagnostics using a specialized service platform. + Performing quality control (QC) checks on all completed work. + Assisting with tool and parts inventory, organization, and documentation. + Operating all Service Center equipment safely and in compliance with internal safety standards (e.g., PPE use). + Building a positive and reliable service experience for internal teams and business partners. + Understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste disposal). + Configuring, maintaining, diagnosing, and signing off on vehicles for safe on-road use. Occasional local travel may be required. **What You Bring:** + Minimum 5+ years of hands-on technician experience + Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance techniques, tools, parts, and materials + Excellent driving record + Strong initiative and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset + Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities + Team-oriented, honest, and reliable + Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills **Bonus Qualifications:** + OEM diagnostic experience (HV systems, hybrid drivetrains, HVAC, CAN/LIN, chassis, suspension) + Ability to troubleshoot Linux-based systems + Experience with embedded modules, sensor stacks, or self-driving systems + Familiarity with fleet maintenance optimization + Trade school certificate or Associate degree in Automotive Repair + ASE or manufacturer certification(s) + Willingness and ability to travel locally or nationally on occasion If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
