KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + **3D Modeling:** Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software. + **Layout Assistance:** Facilitate communication between field and BIM Technicians by reviewing field markups and ensuring all the information needed for modeling is being captured. + **Model Coordination:** Integrating design information from various disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) into the 3D model. + **Clash Detection:** Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes between different building components using clash detection tools. + **Constructability Reviews:** Evaluating the feasibility of construction based on the 3D model and providing feedback to improve the design. + **Construction Documentation:** Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model to support construction planning and execution. + **Collaboration:** Working closely with VDC project managers, engineers, supers and construction PMs to ensure alignment between digital designs and on-site realities. + **Supporting Project Teams:** Providing 3D visualizations, clash reports, and other information to aid decision-making and project execution. + **Travel:** About 50% of time traveling, with the possibility of extended periods of time stationed at a job site. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: + Experience using Navisworks. + Sound understanding of electrical construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to analyze and interpret electrical design information. + Problem-solving skills to address clashes and constructability issues. + Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Ability to manage single tasks effectively and meet deadlines. DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: + Electrical construction experience. + Understanding of BIM principles and workflows desired. + Experience with the use of 3D modeling software.
