Position Summary

Support analytical consulting for Aetna’s value based contracting strategy on sub-capitated specialties such as oncology, cardiology, musculoskeletal programs etc. This includes negotiations, setting targets, on-going analytics, interim and year end financial reconciliations. Work collaboratively with business units across the Company providing medical cost and outcomes focused analytical research, financial modeling and business decision support reporting. The team is engaged in all aspects of the analytic lifecycle from contract negotiation through reconciliation & settlement, including report development and financial consulting support for provider partners.


Required Qualifications

This position is part of a team that provides focused analytical research, complex financial modeling and business decision support related to medical cost. Since data mining and "what-if" scenarios are the regular analytical approach, this position is a perfect fit for somebody who is thinking outside of the box and who is able to turn data into useful information. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

1+ years of experience with model development2+ Actuarial exams completed.Experience with Microsoft Excel (must know how to do formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS)Experience with execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skillsExperience with collaboration and teamworkProblem solving and decision-making skillsGrowth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Risk-Based Arrangements and Value-Based Care financial modelsAbility to pull data using SAS, SQL or Google CloudExperience in business intelligence

Education

Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics or another related degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
