As a Valuation Controller - Associate within our Valuation Control team, you will spend each day working across various business lines, including Commercial & Investment Banking (Macro Products, Credit, Equities, Securitized Products, IB Risk), CIO, Treasury & Corporate (CTC), Asset Management, Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), and Commercial Banking (CB). You will engage with clients such as senior management, business heads, regulators, and both internal and external audit, defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute key automation projectsExecute price verification/benchmark process including the calculation of fair value adjustmentsAssist with various VCG established practices and control initiatives as well as perform necessary work relating to management reporting, regulatory mandates and consistency within the broader VCG frameworkPartner with various functional groups on valuation related issues and develop/implement appropriate measures with the goal of ensuring fair valueEnhance existing control framework including reviewing independent pricing processes, assessing potential coverage developments and implementing new tools to enhance control efficiencyWork on other value-added projects related to Business, Risk, and Finance initiativesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of related experienceProficient in Python, Tableau, databasesBasic understanding of financial derivative productsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks efficientlyPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Work experience in financial industry a plusUnderstanding of financial products and derivatives, basic accounting knowledgeUndergraduate degree with computer science/ information technology preferredGraduate degree with finance, economics, mathematics, engineering a plusAnalytical and quantitative aptitude. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds preferredStrong verbal and written communications skillsExperience with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic skills a plus
