Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Validation Technician Specialist (Contractor). 

The Validation Technician Specialist (Contractor) will support environmental testing for power electronics, motor, and engine control programs. This includes, but is not limited to, validation test set-up, including product connections and test chamber programming according to the provided test plan, test execution, interim functional test execution, report summaries and documentation.  Some physical labor to put products into, and to remove products from, the test chambers.  Interact and take direction from other department engineers and managers.

What We Are Looking For

High School Diploma required, associate degree in engineering related field preferredEngineering test experience preferredAutomotive experience preferredRelevant experience for 8+ years will be given priorityHigh electrical and mechanical aptitudeStrong computer skills – Microsoft OfficeSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to stand on feet for 8 hours if necessaryAbility to work overtime or come in during off shifts to check on tests if necessaryAbility to travel to other work locations if needed for any training or required program meetings if unable to attend virtually
