Job Title: Validation Project Engineer
Job Description
As a Validation Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, assessing, planning, and executing new projects for facility and equipment upgrades. You will be responsible for various validation tasks, including lab, tank, and new equipment validations. Additionally, you may engage in cleaning validations and other necessary validations as the site and company expand. You will eventually become the go-to person for managing new projects.
Responsibilities
Design new projects, including economic estimation, purchasing management, and industrial contracting.Create plans and diagrams in CAD for new projects.Request offers from suppliers for new facilities and conduct economic studies of the projects.Plan and supervise industrial facilities, including overseeing contractors and installers.Manage the supply of necessary materials for new facilities and ensure compliance with planning.Perform the start-up of new facilities, consult documentation, and contact suppliers for test execution.Execute start-up tests and define essential spare parts.Collaborate in conducting risk assessment and HAZOPS studies, and promote equipment legislation.Review legalization projects and liaise with specialized companies for inspection and control.Prepare as-built documentation and conduct qualification tests for facilities and equipment.Enter instruments into the calibration management system and specify calibration procedures.Deliver installations with proper calibration procedures.Complete tasks commissioned by the Engineering and Maintenance team.Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment systems, quality and GMP systems, and data integrity.Encourage continuous process improvement by detecting and implementing initiatives.Essential Skills

Master's or degree in Industrial/Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred.Training in Industrial Maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical installations.Training in GMP for APIs.Training in Health, Safety & Environment.Proficiency in Office and CAD.Understanding of chemical industry regulation.Experience in design, installation, start-up, and maintenance of chemical facilities.Experience with validations and calibration management.Experience in Chemistry, Pharma, and Chemical industries is preferred.Work Environment
You will work closely with the team responsible for Engineering/Validation needs, focusing on facility upgrades. As the sole engineering professional, you will receive support and guidance to manage these projects effectively. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morton Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
