Vac Truck Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technician to perform various duties including installing and inspecting piping, troubleshooting and repairing pumps and other equipment used in the everyday operations of the landfill, moving material, managing leachate, digging ditches, and performing general laborer tasks. This role involves outdoor maintenance work.

Responsibilities

Install and inspect piping systems.Troubleshoot and repair pumps and equipment.Move materials and manage leachate.Dig ditches and perform various laborer duties.Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of experience working on a construction job site.At least 1 year of general labor experience.Experience with mechanical work, hand tools, and service.Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers and bobcats.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with carpentry, deck building, or landscaping.Experience operating a vac truck.Familiarity with installation or troubleshooting.

Work Environment

The work takes place at a landfill in Murfreesboro, TN, maintaining the leachate system. The environment may carry scents and involve dirty conditions. Shifts run from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and Saturday work. The team is small, typically around 8 members, and tasks vary throughout the day. Candidates must be comfortable working in the elements and flexible with shift times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
