**Job Title: Utility Worker** **Job Description** The Utility Worker supports the daily operations of the school cafeteria by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for students and staff. **Responsibilities** + Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. + Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other food preparation equipment. + Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients. + Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. + Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen and dining areas. + Operate and maintain cleaning machines and other cleaning equipment. + Support cafeteria staff during meal service as needed. + Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth cafeteria operations. **Essential Skills** + Experience in foodservice, including dishwashing and cleaning. + Proficiency in food preparation and cold prep tasks. + Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in a foodservice environment. + Basic skills in operating cleaning machines and equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a server or line cook is beneficial. + Ability to assist with cashiering duties. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety standards. **Why Work Here?** Join a supportive and dynamic team where your contributions help create a welcoming environment for students and staff.
