Job Title: --Utility Maintenance Mechanic – Local 835

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reports to Supervisor or assigned trades workerCompletes service request in a timely manner Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbsRepairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing dutiesPerforms minor building equipment preventive maintenanceRepairs sheet rock and spackles Spot paints common areas such as lobbies, freight elevator lobbies, restrooms, etc.Replaces ceiling tiles and other basic carpentry taskMaintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities also shops, boiler room, chiller room, electrical room, mechanical rooms, etc.Paints equipment rooms and machinery Receives deliveries for projects, controls moving & delivery crew’s use of elevatorsDriving skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck.Overtime and shift work maybe requiredPerform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.Safely use all types of related hand and power tools Qualifications High school diplomaThree years building maintenance experience.Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined.Valid driver’s license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned. Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations. Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks Work Environment

Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday
