Position Overview

You will play a key role in supporting the design and development of construction plans within the power and utility sectors. Your primary

responsibilities include acquiring, notating, and documenting accurate field data essential for engineering, planning, and construction initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, problem-solving, and working independently in varying outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, document, and verify field data to support the design of utility and power construction plans.Perform accurate utility locating in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.Conduct pole sticking and gather measurement data for engineering documentation.Maintain detailed notes, sketches, and digital records of field observations.Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols.Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.Travel to various job sites (approximately 50% travel required).

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in utility locating or related fieldwork.Working knowledge of pole sticking techniques and measurement tools.A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation processes.Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
