**Job Title: Utility Aide** **Job Description** The Utility Aide will assist with plant cleanliness and organization by implementing LEAN principles. This role supports department efficiency through construction of shop aids, application of organizational tools, and active participation in continuous improvement efforts. **Responsibilities** + Construct shop aids such as cutting wedges, boxes, and trays to support 5S initiatives. + Apply labels, paint, and tape to flooring, shop aids, and equipment for department organization. + Actively interface with department personnel for continuous improvement including cost-saving and safety enhancements. + Cut lightweight pipe and wood, assemble with brackets, fittings, and castors, and deliver to the department as needed. + Assist in designing various fixtures, shop aids, and tables as requested. + Install and maintain floor coatings. **Essential Skills** + 6 months of experience using hand and power tools. + Ability to lift and maneuver 30-50 lbs. + Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, and walk throughout the shift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Custodial, handyman, facilities maintenance experience is a plus. + Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles is a big plus. **Why Work Here?** This role offers numerous opportunities for growth in pay and advancement within positions.
