Job Description:

Hourly Rate: Based on experience $38- 41/hour +shift premium: $1.50/hourSign on Bonus: $5,000This site manufactures Dove Chocolate

Current Shift Schedule:

Rotating shifts between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts on a 5-week rotation:1st Shift: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm (Monday–Friday)2nd Shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (Monday–Friday)3rd Shift: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am (Monday–Friday)Every 5th week consists of 7 consecutive days off.Three weekends off during each 5-week rotation.Weekend Shift Hours: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am

Future Shift Schedule:

By the end of 2026: Transition to fixed shifts (in process)Additional information will be provided during the interview process.

Description of the Role:

The Utilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for testing, inspecting and operating boilers, chillers, air compressors, and fire protection systems while ensuring safe and efficient operation (This not janitorial role).

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED18+ months’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance roleBasic knowledge of commercial building utilities operations, including steam, air, boilers, electrical systems, and/or refrigerationUnderstanding of fundamental electrical concepts

Physical Requirements:

Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree or trade certification3+ years’ experience in boiler operations and industrial maintenanceSAP understanding

What will be your key responsibilities?

Role focus: Steam, Compressed Air, and Refrigeration Utilities (SAR)Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of utilities across the siteInspect equipment, diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions.Monitor operating conditions using meters and gauges.Accurately record meter readings and operational data.Perform regular maintenance on all relevant equipment.Document maintenance activities in SAP.Carry out additional ad hoc tasks as required
