We are looking for a skilled and experienced Utilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of utility systems such as water, electricity, gas, heating, cooling, and waste management systems. This role involves ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of utility services, while complying with regulatory standards and optimizing performance.
**How you will contribute**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible to design, install and maintain for the utility equipment, pipings, systems and activities related to steam boiler, chiller, air compressor, thermal oil, cooling tower, air compressor, chimney stack , including electrical, water , gas, HVAC, and waste management.
+ Able to monitor and troubleshoot, provide engineering support and solutions on operations, develop and implement preventive maintenance for utility equipment to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
+ Ensure prompt actions and troubleshooting of repair and maintenance of utility equipment for its reliability and minimum downtimes.
+ Lead and manage a team of 4 crews 3 shifts of boilermen.
+ Review and comment of daily boilerman’s logbook & conduct daily tool-box meeting with shift boilermen.
+ Perform monthly stock-take for utility and chemicals usages.
+ Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
+ Manage utility-related projects, including planning, design, implementation, and testing of new systems or upgrades.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address utilities-related issues and ensure the proper integration of systems.
+ Prepare technical documentation, reports, and records related to utilities operations, including compliance with environmental regulations.
+ Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards.
+ Lead of Safety Standard Owner for Heat Transfer, Carbon Energy and Water Management
+ Ensure legal compliance on steam facilities and other related utilities activities to comply with DOSH and audit requirements as stated in the Factories and Machinery (Steam Boiler and Unfired Pressure Vessels) Regulations 1970
+ Manage factory energy and water consumption.
+ Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot system failures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
+ Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to utilities systems.

**Education / Certifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Utilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
**Job specific requirements:**
+ Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in utilities engineering, operations, or management.
+ Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water, electricity, gas, HVAC, and waste management systems.
+ Familiarity with relevant regulatory codes, standards, and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
+ Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools) for system design and analysis.
+ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with various departments and stakeholders.
+ Project management experience, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
+ Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are a plus.

+ Office environment with occasional site visits to monitor and oversee utilities infrastructure.
+ Ability to work in varying weather conditions and occasionally lift heavy equipment or materials.
+ Some evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance or emergency responses.
