Job Description

Summary:

The Used Car Technician Technician will perform mechanical inspections and repair work on a wide variety of used vehicles to prepare them for retail sale. This is a fast-paced, production-focused role ideal for well-rounded techs with general repair experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on pre-owned vehiclesDiagnose and complete light repairs including brakes, batteries, filters, fluids, bulbs, hoses, and beltsIdentify safety or drivability concerns and flag higher-level repairs for Service Advisors or Line TechsMaintain accurate records of work performed and parts usedWork efficiently to meet reconditioning cycle time targets and vehicle readiness deadlinesSafely move vehicles between service, recon, and front-line areasCollaborate with service managers, advisors, and parts staff to streamline recon flowMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace

Qualifications2+ year of experience in general automotive maintenance or repairValid driver's license and a clean driving record.All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with multi-point inspections and light mechanical repairsExperience working with internal service departments or used vehicle operations
